Joel Herron - would you please email me at webmaster@doh.state.fl.us - I would love to know what your next CMS might be. The Fl. Dept of Health is also a Serena Collage user and facing its demise.

Many thanks!

Making the change live right after approval would be greatly useful and what we are hoping for. Thanks, Joel!

@mike
The idea behind content management is to remove the editor like yourself from physically touching the live web server. Which is why we don't give anyone access to directories deployed by Collage. So the answer to your first question is no, we don't allow it for a number of reasons, of which i won't get into here. The hope with our next CMS is to get rid of the deploy time aspect of Collage. where we make changes and then at a certain time to makes the changes on the live site. What we are looking for next is a system that makes the change live right after you approve it.

I was wondering if there was a way to do a direct upload to the server from Collage, even though there are the scheduled uploads at approximately 8 and 3. Would this be possible with an FTP program, if it is not possible from Collage?

If this is not a feature in Collage/ not possible, could this be an option available in a new content management system? It would be a valuable tool for greater timeliness in posting jobs.

Thanks!
