Here’s Ethan. Pictured in front of his vast scarf collection, he can often be found in his bedroom on Florence St. Maurice likes running and catching Pokemon, and is an avid Manchester City supporter.

The Site Admin is a Senior at UW-Whitewater named Ethan Maurice. From Watertown, he holds an Associate’s Degree – Liberal Arts Transfer from Madison College, as well as a certificate of Journalism. After a transfer to Whitewater, Maurice will complete his Bachelor of Arts in May, 2020. He is currently searching for a full time job as a staff reporter at a news or sports publication.

The beautiful game has been many things to me. Follow along with the site to read my story.

College Experience

After graduation from Luther Prep School in Watertown, Maurice enrolled at MATC. In his first semester, he was hired as a staff writer for The Clarion, Madison College’s student publication, where he worked for four semesters. In 2017, he helped launch Clarion Radio, a brand new online radio station hosted by Madison College students. He also created and hosted a weekly program, called WolfPack Recap.

Upon graduation, Maurice enrolled at Whitewater, and joined the Royal Purple, the school’s student newspaper. In 2019, he was hired as the Sports Section Editor, and sat on the Editorial board of the paper. While Maurice was editor, the section covered sports such as football, basketball, gymnastics, track & field, volleyball and Adaptive Athletics.

In his career, Maurice has gotten to interview many important and influential figures, including Tony Evers, Wisconsin’s governor, Tammy Baldwin, Wisconsin’s junior Senator, Dwight Watson, the Chancellor of UW-Whitewater, and Keri Carollo, DIII basketball Coach of the Year 2018, as well as many other coaches, administrators and athletes.
