We would love for you to submit a guest post for the CoBE Report. After all, this blog is representative of the CoBE family and we want to have everyone’s voice heard.
To make it easier for you to write for us, we’ve made a set of guidelines for guest posts.
The topic of your blog post must fit into one of the categories of the blog. These are: Career, Classroom, Grad School, In the News, Inside Hyland Hall, Student’s Voice, and Alumni Voice. Visit each of the links to find a short description of what kinds of posts fit in each category.
Most importantly, write about a topic relevant to CoBE students!
Writing for a blog is very different from writing an essay or newspaper article. Reading large blocks of text on a computer screen is difficult and turns most people away.
Here are some general guidelines for writing blog posts that are easy to read:
- Provide eye rests
- If you’re referring to a situation that people may not be aware of, always hyperlink to a specific article or video that can provide more information that is mentioned in your post
- Format posts like you want them to appear on the CoBE Report with line breaks, etc.
- Please don’t write an essay
The only way to be published is to emailĀ a post to theĀ CoBE Social Media account atĀ email@example.com . Of course, we’ll moderate your post and make sure it is appropriate for The Report, but we are really looking forward to seeing more students voicing their opinions about the college and everything that goes on inside it.
