On Monday, April 15th, 2013 Frank Witthun, Chairman of Cooper Gay Swett and Crawford Ltd. and one of the most successful UW-Whitewater graduates, dedicated some of his time to present for the Leader’s Ways & Wisdom – Distinguished Speaker Series.
Mr. Witthun began his career in insurance in 1970 and has since founded or operated three of the top 20 insurance brokerage firms in the U.S. He currently serves as chairman of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Ltd., a wholesale reinsurance broker headquartered in London, with offerings in 16 countries and turnover of $400 million.
Throughout his career Mr. Witthun has been involved in mergers and acquisitions of small, medium, and large cash flow companies, most of which are private and family owned. His 37-year career path has taken him from Whitewater to London, and many places throughout the world. In the lecture, he shared his experiences and covered how students can be successful in an unfamiliar and often overlooked industry.
Mr. Witthun obtained his bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Whitewater and earned his MBA in finance from St. Mary’s University. He served as the 2006 UW-Whitewater commencement speaker.
Again, thank you Mr Witthun, for taking time out of your busy schedule to be a part of the Leader’s Ways & Wisdom – Distinguished Speaker Series.
Below you will find a recorded version of his presentation. Enjoy.
