StressTipsForFinals

Getting anxious about finals next week? These tips will help get you through, and will hopefully relieve some stress!

1. Start now. DO NOT WAIT. Procrastination is the worst idea.
2. Make a schedule. If you’re one of those people with multiple finals and papers, make sure to write out a schedule and stick to it!
3. Meet with friends or a tutor if you need some extra help.
4. Find a quiet place to study, like the library or res hall basement.
5. Quiz yourself, or have a friend quiz you.
6. Make sure to get enough sleep. Although all-nighters may work for a few, it is not a good idea for the majority. A good night’s sleep is always a good thing.
7. If there is a review session, GO! Make sure to attend all review sessions even if you think you know the material.
8. Ask questions. Professors are here to help you. If there is a topic you don’t understand, make sure to ask for clarification… before the exam.
9. Remember, it isn’t the end the world. Don’t stress too much. If you studied enough, you will do just fine!
10. Go to Pet Therapy, because… why not?
11. Don’t forget any test materials. Bring multiple pencils. And if you need a calculator, bring a calculator, simple as that.
12. Day-dream just a little. Imagine how nice it will be when the final is over and you do well. It’s holiday break time!
13. Take breaks. If you need to go to the bathroom or eat a quick snack, make sure to do that. But don’t take too long!
14. Do more than one practice problem. Is there such a thing as over learning? If so, do it.
15. Be confident… you got this.

Good luck on all your finals!
