Filming & B-Roll
Filming
- Be sure to charge all batteries and equipment beforehand. Make sure you know what equipment you need before filming in case you need to check something out from the campus TV station.
- The manual/automatic camera control is a switch on the right-hand side. Manual shows audio levels and allows for better white-balancing (under menu- found in the upper right corner of touchscreen) and some focus control. However, sometimes on manual settings the video will jump and focus strangely at times. Generally automatic is better for filming while moving, and manual is better for shots with less movement. The lav mic sometimes cuts out if the wearer is moving.
When editing video series, use the same source file to keep everything the same. But be SURE TO SAVE THE SOURCE FILE WITH A DIFFERENT NAME RIGHT AWAY.
