Camera
HANDLE WITH CARE!
First and foremost, be sure that the camera is being well cared for. If damaged, tell Jenny.
On/Off
- Push the switch around the setting wheel forward. For beginning users, use complete auto mode (green box on the setting wheel).
Shoot in RAW
- Make sure the camera is shooting in RAW. This will ensure the most editing capabilities post-shoot. To check this, press the “set” button on the bottom right and use the arrows to select the bottom left camera setting. It should read “RAW.” If it doesn’t, press the “set button again, use the arrow buttons to select “RAW,” and Press “set” again.
Zoom/Focus
- Twist the main body of the lens to zoom.
- Use automatic focus by switch near the base of the lens (indicated by A-M ).
- Use automatic focus by switch near the base of the lens (indicated by A-M).
Review
- Always make sure that you are satisfied with pictures.
- View them by pressing the Play button, right above the display screen.
Lens Cap/Battery
Replace the lens cap when not in use.
If the battery is low, charge it. The charger can be found already plugged in, in Jenny’s office.
Upload
- If you took pictures, you are responsible for uploading them and putting the files into the respective folder(s) on the shared drive.
- Either eject memory card from the camera and insert into card reader, or attach camera to computer with USB cable.
- Save in a folder on the desktop, name, and delete photos from camera.
- Select 10-15 of the best photos based on quality and composition and edit as needed. Save as jpgs in a folder on the shared drive.
