Dear Students, Colleagues, Friends and Family:

My departure to South Africa will begin next week on June 6th. When you can find time from your summer of leisure, please copy and paste the web addresses below into your browser. Log onto the first address if you are particularly interested in reading about the progress I am making in developing the student-teacher exchange program between UW-Whitewater (UWW) and the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). I will use the blog (the second address) for journal entries of my school visits, teaching at Wits, the people I meet along the way and much more. You can actively participate in my journal-keeping by posting a comment to the entries. I will try my best to make regular entries and upload interesting photos. Should you desire a photo of a specific African occurrence in Johannesburg or elsewhere (e.g., how Wits students dress in the winter—June, July and August is winter there), write and I will try to capture your interests. The photo currently posted on the blog is from my South African visit during summer ‘05. Enjoy and stay connected! Take care.
