Don’t Stess

December 6, 2017 Here ends my blog content, so I thought I would end it with something we are all currently struggling with…EXAMS. They never get easier, it takes up basically all of your time towards the end of the semester, and they cause a ton of stress. For me, not only do I have an exam for each class, I also have long papers and long presentations. Those things on top of exams has me going crazy. It’s a good thing I have this guy right here to keep me company in my time of need. No matter how stressed, or how upset I am, having him next to me to keep me company, and remember the important things in life always makes life better. Everything just seems like it doesn’t matter when I realize how lucky I am to have him in my life. So just remember, no matter how stressed and unhappy you are now, there are always things, people, or even animals that can help you realize that life always gets better. This time will soon pass, and you will appreciate all the effort you put into it at the end of the...

Don’t Leave Mom!

December 4, 2017 Here’s a picture of Cooper looking incredibly sad while sitting by mom’s suitcase. Seriously guys, I feel like he’s literally saying, “Don’t leave me mom!” On the 19th of this month, I have the pleasure of going to Punta Cana. Therefore, i’ve started packing quite early with all the excitement. Cooper always knows when I leave to go somewhere, and he knows that if he looks at me really sad he has a slight chance of coming with. However, this time he can’t come. Let me tell you guys, having a dog is just like having a child sometimes. There is so much planning you have to do even just to find a dog sitter. Luckily, my mom said she can watch him, but that means I still have to pack him a little suitcase full of bones, food, toys, leash, etc. So now I have to pack two suitcases! It always makes me so sad to leave him, but I look forward to seeing his excitement when I get home as well! Always remember to find your fur friends a good sitter. If you don’t have any close friends or family to watch them, there is always an option to put them in a daycare type thing. You pay daily, and they take good care of your pets until you return. I highly recommend daily pictures and updates to help ease your stress if you’re a crazy mess like me when someone else is taking care of your...

They Grow So Fast

November 29, 2017 Cooper didn’t used to be so calm and content. He used to never want to sleep. Playing was the only thing he ever wanted to do. Why? Because he was a puppy. It takes TIME for dogs to calm down and not act like “puppies” do. One day it will just change. Don’t get me wrong, he still is an active, happy pup, however he knows when it’s appropriate and when it’s not now. Since he is almost 3, he had grown into a dog that listens so incredibly well. We are constantly getting compliments on how good of a dog he is. Yes, some of that growing up lands on you since it’s your responsibility to train them, however the personality aspect is on them. Have patience with your pets. Some grow up and become calm faster than others. Don’t lose faith in them and say to yourself, “I can’t do this.” Yes sometimes it’s a lot to handle, but the happiness they bring to your life outweighs all that. All pets start as puppies, and they all have to learn sometime. So be patient and let them grow, because it happens faster than you can...

Gobble Gobble

November 27, 2017 Cooper and I had a crazy busy Thanksgiving break this year. We went to three different places! Wednesday, him and I drove all the way to Rhinelander to spend actual Thanksgiving with his grandpa (my dad). This was a long drive for the both of us. We were there until Friday, and left to go to Trent’s house, in Greendale, Friday morning. We stayed there until Sunday morning, and then we drove to my his grandma’s house (my mom) in Pewaukee. It was way more driving than we both would have liked, but we were grateful for all the family we got to see! Although we had a good break, it was nice to be back at our lovely home right here in Whitewater. We both rested all day Sunday after such an eventful few days. It’s a good thing Cooper travels...

Brand New Outfit

November 10, 2017 Cooper strutting his stuff in his new wardrobe. I’ve been wanting to buy him a new collar for so long, but I wanted to get him a nice one that would last long. Those tend to be expensive. It took me months to finally find one I liked, that was durable, for a decent price. The collar he had was super old, so getting a new collar was like Christmas. It’s a thick camo collar that had his name stitched into it. We put it on, and he was instantly a new pup (so handsome). We got so many compliments on it, which I adored, because I love hearing about how cute my little man is. Who knew I’d be this excited to get a collar in the mail… If any of you are wondering where I purchased the collar from, it was from a site online called “Tactipup”. They have many different options you can choose from, and you basically design it yourself. They can get very pricey, so make sure you purchase on a day they offer deals, which is...

Once You go Pack, You Never go Back

September 10, 2017 GO PACK GO! Although the Packers aren’t doing the best this year, we still cheer them on. Cooper shows his support by wearing his Packer vest. There’s just something about putting dog’s in clothes that is so stinkin’ cute! However, some pet clothes are more expensive than clothes I wear. Some dogs don’t like clothes too, so don’t force it. If you can tell they are uncomfortable or if they try ripping them off, they are probably not a clothes pet. If they are, use this little trick… When buying pet clothes, I usually buy a bigger size so it fits them longer. Unless your pet is fully grown, they grow like weeds. Therefore they grow out of things fast. This vest is already getting too small for Cooper. To get more use out of the things I buy, I try to get a bigger size....

What a Model

June 15, 2017 I entered Cooper in a contest be be featured in a calendar at Elmbrook Humane Society, where I adopted him from. It was $5.00 to enter him in, and then people had to vote for him in order for him to win. Each vote costed $1.00. He didn’t win to get into the calendar, however I was happy to see that he raised about $35.00 through votes. All the money raised through voting went back to the humane society. I was just humbled by how many people took the time to pay money to vote for him. I’m glad we were able to raise money to help Elmbrook. They raised a ton of money by doing this contest. If you ever get the chance to raise money for an organization close to your heart do it! It is so rewarding, and if you have a passion for that organization you’ll find joy in doing it. Sometimes all you have to do is share a link on Facebook and you’ll raise over $35.00, which goes a long way for organizations in...

Dog’s and Babies, Could it get any Cuter?

June 12, 2017 This dog is obsessed with babies. Weird right? This is Stella, she is my Boyfriends Niece and Cooper loves her. Whenever she’s around, he needs to be sitting by her or laying with her. He constantly licks her face, which she loves and hysterically laughs about. Whenever I’m holding her, he bites on her socks and gently takes them off her foot. For how big he is, he is extremely gentle. It amazes me how cooperative he is with her. She will hug him, climb all over him, lay on top of him, and he just lays there and takes it all. Trent recently got another niece, Logan, whom we just met, and he acts the same way with her. Licks her face and takes her socks. I am excited for the day I have children that Cooper can be best friends with! It is extremely important to remember that not all dogs have to patience for children. Don’t expect them to cooperate with them and be around them. It can’t be forced. My sister, for example, has a dog who is terrified of children. Therefore, not all dogs can handle...

Muddy Buddy

April 16, 2017 Boy does Cooper love puddles, especially the muddy ones. Spring is the worst time of year to have to let your dog outside to go potty in my opinion, because it always rains in Spring. This makes the grass become puddles of mud, which, unfortunately, dogs love. This is something every dog parent struggles with. However, there’s not much you can do about it. I let cooper enjoy his time outside however he pleases. This just leads to multiples baths a day. Don’t worry, it’s only for a few months! Since this happens so often, I tried to think of different things I could do instead of bathing him every single time. Unless he is completely full of mud, I try to avoid bathing him because it is such a process (look at him, he’s huge). I learned to keep an old towel and a box of wipes by the door for when he comes inside. I wipe as much of the mud off as possible with the wipe, then I go over it with the old towel to get any mud I missed and to dry him off. It saves time for how often they go...

Time to Celebrate YOU, Cause You’re Turning TWO

January 13 2017 Not much happened after Cooper’s first birthday. Before I knew it, my little guy was two! He had so many people wishing him a happy birthday it was insane. Friends of mine, and Friends of my boyfriend Trent, posted “birthday shoutouts” for him all over Instagram. This was unexpected and really funny. My dog is a popular little guy who had actual people posting about his birthday on social media. You bet he was spoiled rotten that day my multiple different people. He got lots of human food and lots of dog treats. He is obsessed with bones, so he got a big bag of bones from me and some stuffed toys (that he tore apart instantly). Funny thing is, is I feel like he got more attention than me on my birthday!! Lucky...
