A lot of kids are picky eaters, including me when I was really little. Only I was super picky, I wasn’t just picky of what kind of food I ate, I was picky about the brand the food I ate too. Especially milk,I would only drink Morning Glory milk. My mom told me that no one can tell the difference between brands of milk, but I knew I could. So she set up a taste test for me to prove that I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between Morning Glory, Kemps, Deans, and the generic store milk. I told her which one was which, and that the Morning Glory one was obviously the best, and she still can’t believe it.
When I was in about 4th grade, something happened to the Morning Glory factory and they had to close down for about a year. That was the worst year of my childhood life. I was forced to drink other brands, but they reopened and my milk torture ended.
To this day I still prefer Morning Glory milk to any other brand of milk. It’s simply the best. Right now I wish I had some Morning Glory milk, but it is not sold in any store in Whitewater. It’ll be a long week until I can get some more from home.
Name: Starry Night Escape
We picked this name because we wanted a fairytale-ish name that was still kind of classy. It represents our sophisticated, fantasy bed and breakfast. It also helps bring in more honeymooners.
Do all of the professors of UWW get together to decide when to schedule the hardest exams, and assign the longest papers? This week was the busiest, and the hardest week I’ve had in college so far. In almost every class I’m in I had some sort of serious paper, or exam this week. I was constantly studying and doing homework when I wasn’t working. I’m glad I’m home right now, after this crazy week, I needed some home time.
Since my last post about my college transition, college has kicked it up a notch, and I’ve been trying to get involved in more things. I started working at the Young Auditorium as a stage crew member, and so far it’s been really fun! It kind of was a downer when I was working, and I knew I had to get a paper done, and study for my next exam, but I managed somehow. I went to a few club meetings just to try some stuff out, and I like most of them. I know I wont be able to keep up with all of the clubs, but hopefully I’ll get to stay in one for sure.
By this time in my college career I’m ready for winter break. I know it’s a little early to think about that, but I’m seriously looking forward to it.
“Hello I’m Stephanie!”
I probably said that about a million times during the first week of college.
Everything, and everyone is new. New people, new classes, new teachers, new friends, new city, new way of life. At first it seemed overwhelming, but now everything seems to be falling into place. It’s weird because about a week or so after we moved in, everyone started to call thier dorm home. It was right about the same time when college felt less like we were just at camp, and more like we belong.
Classes are easier than I expected. Everyone tells you that college classes are super hard, and if you didn’t study hard in high school you’d never make it in college. So far that’s not the case for me. There’s definately a good amount of homework, but not that much more than high school. Just like in high school there are harder teachers/professors, and easy ones. Teachers/Professors that give out loads of homework, and ones that don’t give out any. I think it’ll be a successful semester, I’m already figuring out what kind of classes I want/need to take next semester. The only not so good part of college is being homesick sometimes, but other than that it’s been going well.
Today I learned how to a blog. Yay!
