Just to let everyone know. I have graduated from Whitewater… so I’m really not sure how much longer they will let me keep this blog so i have started a new one that has all the old entries from last summer!

I’m going to try to get all the comments up too with the right entry… but we’ll see!

So far summer is only one day in and I’m working with Yavone, who is amazing at curating… pict to come soon!!

ps all the old sites are the same… the same photobucket and now a youtube.com account.. ill post that all on this journal and the new one… oh yeah!

My final semester at Whitewater has gotten into high gear and I am excited to have only one class that meets on a weekly basis.

This semester I will be going to New York, back to Texas, and introducing Red Hanger and a class of 10 to the wonders that are North Dakota!!

I leave Bowman North Dakota on Friday and I am sooo sad I’m leaving.
I’d like to take the time to thank everyone that has come one to PTRM and gone digging with us.
I’d also like to thank everyone here in Bowman that helped make this an amazing summer!
To Don, Kathy, Merle, Terry, and Dean: Thank you for working with me and teaching me sooooo much about my path in life. I’m so glad I was chosen to work here and this program is really amazing, I hope to be back again to work with you all more!
To everyone else in Bowman(library ladies, weather mod): Thank you for being there for me. To just hang out or talk with. You have also made this summer amazing.

I can’t begin to explain how wonderful this summer has been and how much each of you has meant to me.

On the 9th and 10th we hosted a little boy named Tommy and his mom Sarah! They were great to have and worked very hard! On the 9th we went back to the Brachychampsaand pulled out 3 more scuttes and another clam!

This is the two of them with a scutte! Then on the 10th we went to Mud Buttes on our own. Don and Kathy had a birthday to go to and Dean had a wedding so I was all on my lonesome!!(That’s right feel bad!) But it was lots of fun! We worked a microsite that i talked about HERE. Sadly we didn’t find any T-Rex teeth but we found alot of other things! Tommy was a great kid to have along and I hope he and his mother and sister can make it back again some year!!

Right in the middle of field school Georgia had her wedding. She was one of the first interns at PTRM so it was great to get to see where she had made it to!

For this field school we had two people; Steve from the week long field school who obviously didn’t get enough punishment, and Roger… sorry will finish in a second
Okay I’m back. That took a bit longer than expected.
The first day we worked the brachychampsa site and found another vert that we had to leave because we headed in early.

This is Roger and Don in front then Steve and Kathy in the back. This is the first day!
Then these two poor guys had to go out with me alone.. So we worked on getting the vert out that we found the day before then Steve showed us where Don had taken them during the week long field school. It was beautiful up there.

And this is the two guys after spending the day with me. Yep they are both alive!! Go me! (Not like there was any doubt)
Then Roger had to leave for home because of work (very sad) so Steve went back to mud buttes to get the turtle we had left there from the week long field school.

The first week of August I spent mostly with Matt, John, Matt and Joe helping them survey and working with Antoine getting more pollen samples and I have learned that i really don’t think I like getting up at 4:00 am to be in the field by 6:00am. Nop. Really don’t like that but if that is what I have to do I’ll do it.

I spent a good amount of time working with Antoine and John Hunter and his Matt this week. Pictures will be forth coming.
Also this weekend was field school again! Steve came back!! YEAH STEVE always up for more torture! And we had Roger! Again pictures forth coming.
Saturday was Georgia’s wedding. She was one of the first interns and a wonderful person. John Hunter, Joe Hartman, both Matt’s, Merle, Don and Kathy and Dean all made an appearance. I even got a dance with Merle. Okay really I danced most of the night. It was a great time and I really do think Georgia will be happy. I really hope she is.
Today is my day off and I got a massage!!! Go me!

Joe Hartman, John Hunter, Matt, Matt, Antoine and myself all went into the field. Joe and Tall Matt worked on finding little shelly bits.. while John, Little Matt, Antoine and myself dug a hole… Yep a hole…
Well by the end of the day we were a bit tired and bored… Okay Really BORED!!! And here’s the proof!!
