I share the misgivings of a lot of people about PowerPoint, or more precisely, about how ubiquitous it has become. It has its place. But PowerPoint is not always the best means to communicate, and it is a heck of a lot worse than a well written and well spoken speech in some cases.

Take for example, the best speech in history, the Gettysburg Address.
