I don't know how much English Tomaš will learn from this English professor, who finds it more natural to talk to him in Slovak. Shows will be difficult on Tomaš, because of the medium of language. I think that for recreation, we will have to look for things to do, not listen to.

Greetings,A good story. Lots of interesting things that you guys have been doing. A fun summer for you all. Zo is really concentrating on picking those berries. It is great that you two have the summer off to enjoy Zo and do not have to go to work(most of the time,Marko). There are some "perks" in teaching. Before we know it summer will be over. I am very anxious to see "the house". That will bring more adventure to your lives.
Take care and of course I am always looking forward to the next Blog.

Love,
Mom aka Mary, Gram

Greetings, I'm a little late in reading this blog, don't know why! It's May already, the end of May really & we just returned from a very nice stay with the Mark Lencho's. It's always a treat for us to go there to see the boys and ZOFKA and Carrie too.As tired as she said she was I did not feel that. I certainly can sympathize with her as the energy she put into her Masters program and being an extremely good mother would tire anyone. Soon hopefully Betsy you can sit back and relax as I know you will get a job AND ZoZo will be grown up before you know it. You can then reap the benefits of doing all so well.
May should be a good BLOG month as lots of pics were taken and graduation! See you next month
Love,
Mary

Sorry to read the sad news about your sweet friend. How lucky you were to have her as a neighbor. The kind of person every new mom needs!

I am crying now as I read your "tribute" to Babka Romanovska. I was lucky enough to have met her while visiting you guys. She was truly a loving, caring person. She brought me a long stemmed rose which I thought was very thoughtful but I found out that that is the custom to bring flowers when visiting someone. Also the thought that she had to walk DOWN & UP 72 stairs to get this rose at 80 something!! She kind of reminded me of my grandmother which I only saw a few times in my life when I was very young. Babka & I are NOT that far apart in age!!! I too am very thankful that her daughter was kind enough to let you know she passed away as I know she will live forever in your hearts.

As for Zo we have our weekly "chats". Each week she has something more to say. She is so precious. I am anxiously waiting for May when I see her again and also you two. Until then take care and be careful.

Love,
Mom (aka gram or Mary)
