Athletics Career

Dr. Navarro is a former NCAA Division I (Women’s Rowing) and NCAA Division III (Women’s Track and Field, Volleyball) student-athlete.  After college, she became very interested in endurance sports; specifically, the sport of triathlon.  She has competed in over 30 triathlons and endurance events with a highlight being completing Ironman Wisconsin in 2008 and 2010.

A native of Madison, WI, Kristina currently competes as an elite mountain biker across the Midwest.

Community Involvement

In her spare time, she enjoys  involvement with community sponsored sport and recreation activities.  She is also active in the community as an advocate for healthy living and lifetime fitness.  Throughout her career she has served as a coach for multiple organizations including the Madison Eastside Sharks (Track and Field), Lafollette High School (Women’s Volleyball), Edgewood College (Strength and Conditioning), and University of Wisconsin-Madison (Strength and Conditioning).
