‘Tis the time of the semester to sign off for the fall semester. The UW-Whitewater Internships Blog will be on break until the start of spring classes. In the meantime, here are some things to do, read, and contemplate on your time off.
- Apply to be Intern of the Month. I know many UW-Whitewater students completed internships this past fall. If you are one of them and you had a great experience, please share your story! In addition to the recognition and a great gift, you will be helping future UW-W interns. Some of the most compelling and insightful information shared on this blog has come from students just like you.
- Read the Student Branding Blog and YouTern’s The Savvy Intern. Maybe I’m a bit biased as a contributor to both, but these two blogs are must-adds for your feed reader. Both share top-rate advice from career counselors/coaches, employers, and students.
- Start Thinking about Summer Internships. Don’t be that person who leaves their summer internship search until April. Over break, think about what kinds of internships you are interested in, prepare your resume, and be ready to hit the ground running as soon as summer internships get posted.
Enjoy your winter break! ‘Til next year…
