See details and schedule below.The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights is currently reviewing UW-Whitewater’s compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which is the federal law that prohibits sexual harassment. Sexual violence, including rape, is a form of sexual harassment.Representatives from OCR will be on campus in March to conduct student focus groups to learn more about students’ knowledge of and experience with the university's policies, procedures and resources related to sexual violence and harassment, and to understand the campus climate regarding these issues. If you are a student, please consider attending a focus group. Tomorrow Martha DeLaRosa is speaking about "The Fight for 15: Low wage Women Workers organizing for Change" at 11 am in UC 275.

Also tomorrow, as a part of the International Education Week, there will be a film showing of "The Dialouge" from 3;30-5pm in the Warhawk Connection Center.

On Thursday, Tharaphi Than will be speaking about "Burmese Women: Forgotten People in the Making of Burma's History" at 3:30 pm in UC 275A.

Next Monday, Adisa Banjoko will be speaking about "Promoting Youth Empowerment and Non-violence Through Hip Hop, Chess and Martial arts" at 7pm in the Young Auditorium.
