Fallacy:  noun

a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound argument.

Food trends come and go (more so than seasons). With how often change occurs, I can’t help but wonder what is fact and what is fiction. Because of my curiosity, I find myself reading medical journals written by doctors and other professionals in the health and wellness field. I want to know if the trends being marketed to the general public are true, and if they’re not true, why is it necessary to mislead us? I’m here to present what I have found out about these fallacies so that you don’t have to do the research yourself.

My name is Janay Newman. I am from a small town outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was raised in a very health and wellness conscious home, where being told that “we eat to live, not live to eat” was a common occurrence. The statement never really clicked until I was older; the idea that we should be fueling our bodies with the proper nutrients and not only yummy tasting things was hard for me to grasp at a young age (because what 5 year old would be worried about that). With this kind of upbringing, it’s no wonder I have an interest in what is actually healthy for us.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope that you enjoy what you read, learn a little something new, and feel motivated to eat positively.
