After looking over our posts, it is clear to me that we need to focus on one town. So when this update is over we need to be sure to focus our point.

I like the 'state of our towns' idea. I'll update this later today. Also try to figure out what to set so I don't have to approve comments anymore.

Since this is just the first update I think we should all get at least a little bit of info, whatever it is, about our towns and post it for Thursday. I'll get my info for tomorrow.

I've talked with Brian and Adam today. For Thursday, we were thinking we all could do a "state of our towns" report. Find out what our communities are doing now in regards to garbage and recycling. For me, I would find out why they have garbage but no recycle. Is it cost? Labor? From there, we might pick a town to focus on and with permission, put out some recycle cans and see how they perform. Does this sound right to everybody? -Scott

I'm wondering where the group is on our project so far. I think we are doing the "try to get more public recycling containers" in our towns. Is that correct? If so, I plan on making some phone calls today to Marshall (that's where I live) officials. The local business organization just put out some nice garbage cans on the streets. Before that, there were none at all. I will talk to town officials and the business association for background info.
