Picture wreath!

This photo wreathe is perfect for the holidays, dorm rooms, or to even put on a wall in your house. This project is easy to make and decorate. It is simple and perfect for any event or decoration

What You Will Need

  1. A plain piece of cardboard
  2. Clothes pins
  3. Hot glue gun
  4. Paint or any other art supply to make it however you like.

How to Make

  1. Take your piece of cardboard and cut a circle through it.
  2. With that circle, cut a circular whole through the middle of the cardboard.
  3. When that is finished paint the wreath whatever color you like.
  4. When the paint is dry, take your hot glue gun and glue the clothes pins around the wreath.
  5. Then, when it is all dry you can put your pictures on it.

This picture, found on Pinterest, shows a perfect example of the steps and finished product. It is exactly what you need to spruce up you holiday, or every day home.

Crayon Artwork!

This is a very fun project! However, it is a little time consuming. The finished result looks absolutely beautiful and will go great anywhere in your house. This project will also make an amazing gift as well.

What You Will Need

  1. You will need a box of crayons. I recommend a big box.untitled
  2. A blank white canvas.canvas
  3. A hot glue gunHot-Melt-Glue-Gun-SJ-306-
  4. A blow dryerbd

How to Make

This will be very fun to make!

  1. First, you need to take your hot glue gun and hot glue the crayons to the top of the canvas. You should place them so the tip of the crayons are facing down. (I would see the finished product below to see where to place them)
  2. Also, arrange the crayons in any color scheme you would like; rainbow, cool colors, warm colors, whatever you like this is YOUR project.
  3. When the glue is dry (make sure the crayons are secure) then take your blow dryer and warm it up by letting it run for one minute.
  4. When the blow dryer is warm, blow it on the crayons to start melting them.
  5. You should stand behind the canvas to melt. This allows the crayon wax to run far down the canvas.

As you can see when this project is finished it looks pretty amazing. It would go great on any wall of your house, or as a gift for someone special.

Create a New Dresser!

One craft idea that will always be useful is turning an old dresser (or other household object) in something brand new! This project might seem difficult, but it will all be worth it. This project is also time consuming. I got this beautiful idea while scanning through Pinterest pins. The easiest way to discover new do it yourself ideas is off Pinterest. Even though I have done this project before I did not take pictures of it, so I will be using images from searching through Google Images.

What You Will Need

  1. Wooden dresser

3.    Primer

4.  Paint color of your choice (purple)

purple paint

This project may seem difficult but it really is not. It is a little time consuming but it is simple and easy to follow. This project is perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon, if you have nothing else to do! Make sure before you start to put newspapers or tarps underneath the wood surface!

  1. First, Find a wooden dresser (or old wooden furniture of your liking)
  2. Then, when you have a hand sander, sand down as much of the old polish you can. Make sure you get off all of the old surface of the wood.
  3. Primer time! After you have sanded and blown off the excess dust. Take some primer and Prime it all over. (How many times can I say prime in one sentence?)
  4. When the primer has officially dried (might take all day), then paint the dresser the color you please. I recommend purple because purple is an amazing color!

With this project I recommend you do it outside. It’s better for air-drying and your space of living wont smell like paint.

A great site to see step by step instruction is called SOHOsonnet. The author is a mom whose job is creating crafts and fun paper stuff. She is also on Pinterest.
