This page covers necessary things for adventurers!

GENERAL

~Check the weather! This can make or break a hike, especially if you’re under prepared. Dress appropriately

*Water

~Transportation

~Backpack (Very useful to have for storing water, clothes, garbage)

~Good hiking boots/shoes. (Wouldn’t recommend Converse or gym shoes due to mud and normal wear and tear)

I highly recommend investing in a good pair of hiking boots! It’s worth the investment for your feet and physical health!

LATE FALL/WINTER

*Water

~Light coat/Winter coat

~Winter boots (Or hiking boots that can handle the snow and keep your feet warm!!)

~Hat (80 percent of body heat comes from your head)

~Gloves

SUMMER/FALL

*WATER, WATER, WATER

~Sunscreen

*TICK SPRAY. Ticks can carry Lyme Disease. Not all ticks carry the disease. Having tick spray and doing a tick check/showering after hiking is the most effective strategy to prevent it.

*MOSQUITO SPRAY. Mosquito’s are annoying! They can also carry West Nile Virus. Having a strong spray should keep them away and will enhance the hiking experience.
