The Mediated Image is a national survey of printmakers who use digital imagery in combination with traditional media or new technologies to produce their work. The exhibit is organized as a collaboration with UW-Whitewater Professors and printmakers Susan Messer and Max White and the aim is to explore the breadth of new processes in the printmaking field. The exhibition will include a very diverse group of printmakers who incorporate technology in convergent and experimental manners. While some artists use may use only a very modest bit of technology in their work others push the boundaries of electronic imaging to create novel works of art. Woodblock prints will be displayed in the same space with laser engraved, resin coated digital photographs.
