This exhibition seeks to examine a cross section of artworks predominately or entirely created using porcelain clay. The artists represented in the show are unified by their use of porcelain and utilize it in generating artworks for a variety of reasons including its purity, translucency and smoothness. But, as the exhibition shows, the end result of applying porcelain toward the creation of pottery or sculpture is varied. Ultimately, the exhibition also acts to provide an awareness of the diversity in contemporary ceramics in this country. Invited artists for the show include: Peter Beasecker, Frank Boyden, Sam Chung, Philip Cornelius, Malcolm Davis, Edward Eberle, Sanam Emami, Erin Furimsky, Julia Galloway, Sadashi Inuzuka, Maren Kloppmann, Bodil Manz, Allison McGowan, Justin Novak, Scott Rench, Mary Roehm, Jason Walker, and SunKoo Yuh.
