I am VERY concerned in regard to the media. I trust some of the
mainstream media as far as I can throw the Empire State building.
Free democracy is not free…we must find a way to preserve
such news outlets. Otherwise our daily “news” will be named
The Pravda (da Comrade.)
I thought this was very interesting. The music was a bit obnoxious but it got the point across. It didn’t take away from what you had to say. On the other hand, I really hope we don’t have to do this. ha. ha.
I liked the over all context of the message. The one thing that threw me off at the beginning was the 8-bit Nintendo music. It’s sad to see papers falling to the wayside. All we can hope is that they grab a hold of the new technology and can transform themselves enough to survive. Though I do have a feeling that legacy media will not inherit the new form but it will be left for something new to come along and fill the void
It is sad when you hear that a paper you grew up with such as the Free Press has to downsize, reduce publication, or in the worst case fold all together. It sounds nice when you hear that a paper is becoming eco-friendly by cutting back to three days while adding more web content, but in reality I think we all really know a PR spin when we hear one. Needless to say it is good that the content of the paper will not be lost, just lost on the web.
