    Frozen Fruit Bowls

This recipe I’m about to share with you guys is one of my favorites, and probably the one I make the most often. Frozen Fruit Bowls are so easy to make, it’s heckin rediculous. The three main ingredients you will need are: -a blender -coconut or almond milk -frozen fruit (of your choice) The best part about this recipe is it is so versatile, and you can customize it to be whatever you’ve got a craving for! Usually strawberries and bananas are the go-to for smoothies, but I’m allergic to strawberrries, so obviously I won’t be making that version. For mine, I chose to do a “tropical” theme. I used…

    Vegan Tacos

Hello everyone! As I mentioned before in my “Morning Star Farms” post, tonight, I used the Morning Star Farms Grillers Crumbles to make these tacos. To star off this recipe, you will need: -Grillers Crumbles package -1/2 tablespoon of olive oil -1/2 cup of water -package of taco seasoning -medium tortillas -salsa (optional) -lettuce (optional) When purchasing tortillas, make sure to read the ingredients. Corn tortillas will always be vegan, but flour tortillas sometimes contain lard, so make sure you check before you buy. I bought my flour tortillas at Festival and they did not contain lard. Get a large pan and heat on medium. Once the pan is hot,…

    Japanese Style Sesame Green Beans

I was inspired to recreate this recipe after attending UW Whitewater’s International Dinner. This was one of the side dishes for the dinner, and it was SO delicious, I knew I needed to learn how to make this. For this side dish you will need: -1 pound fresh green beans -1 tablespoon canola oil -1 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil -1 tablespoon soy sauce -1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds I couldn’t find any sesame seeds at the grocery store, so I made my dish without them, and they still turned out very tastey! First, you will want to heat a large skillet over the stove on medium. Pour in the canola…

    Spaghetti and Vegan Meatballs

One of my favorite meals to eat is spaghetti. I had a real craving for this the other night, and figured I would take a crack at adapting one of my favorite meals to be vegan friendly! Most noodles and pasta sauce are already vegan, so the hardest part of this meal was making the meatballs. Here are some of the brands I used to make this meal: To make the meatballs, here’s what you need: -3 cups drained and rinsed chickpeas -3 tablespoons ground flax -8 tablespoons water -1/2 cup breadcrumbs -1/4 cup neutritional yeast -1/2 tablespoon garlic powder -2 tablespoons onion powder -Salt to taste -Italian seasoning to…

    Vegan Chickpea and Lemon Brushcetta

Well here it is folks, my first recipe post! This evening for dinner I decided to modify a Weight Watchers recipe to be vegan: Chickpea and Lemon Brushcetta. Here’s what you’ll need: – 15oz can chickpeas – 1/4 diced red onion – 1 tablespoon lemon juice –  2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil – 1 garlic clove, minced – 1 small (1/2 pound) baguette – Paprika – Basil – Cajun Now while the recipe for this dish calls for specific amounts of ingredients, I like to live dangerously and eyeball my measurments. I highly recommend this technique if you are lacking a bit of surpise in your life. Anyways, to start…
