		<description>Here are some thoughts:

I think a mission statement for international study is critical, especially in light of our ongoing discussions about comparative analysis as a potential capstone production.  I do not know what "human potential" is and would like to see the inclusion of understanding of the human experience (as it is constructed by cultural, geographic, economic and political realities).  It would also seem to me that an outgrowth of such experience would be justice and peace as well as understanding.  If fear that within capitalistic dynamics there always has to be a profiteer and that is resolved through hegemony of weaker groups.  An outgrowth would also include some productions/study that is comparative and analytical in nature.
