Dear Campus Community,
I invite you to join me for a budget forum at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3 in the Summers Auditorium. While we are still awaiting some specifics, the budget picture is coming into view. I don’t think it will surprise anyone that we are facing difficult challenges in the coming months. I want to assure you that we will do everything possible to maintain a quality educational experience for our students. We will also move forward on some specific initiatives that will ultimately benefit the state’s economy by preparing more people for the jobs of the future.
On Tuesday, I will talk about the budget and its impact on the UW-Whitewater campus. I will open up the discussion for your questions.
We will videotape the discussion and post it on the Web site for those of you who can’t attend.
Again, I understand these uncertain times are stressful. But we are a campus that rallies to solve problems. We will come together again to do what the governor and the legislature ask of us.
I look forward to seeing you Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Richard Telfer
Chancellor
