Recently, UW-Whitewater purchased our first Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV), and I had the opportunity to take it for a spin. Made by e-ride Industries, our UW-W NEV is powered by nine 8-volt batteries. It has a maximum speed of 25 mph and a maximum range of 55 miles.
