Emily Gullickson (September 2011 – May 2012)

Emily was a Social Media Manager at the Career & Leadership Development office at UW-Whitewater. At the time of her internship, she was completing her undergrad work in Marketing (Direct and Internet emphasis) and minor in Multimedia and Game Development (Visual Media Design emphasis). Emily managed the Career Spotlight blog, UW-Whitewater Career Facebook Page, and UW-Whitewater Career Twitter page.

Emily was also actively involved in the UW-Whitewater American Marketing Association chapter where she served on the executive board as the VP of Event Marketing for the Fall 2011 semester.

Ellen Hatfield (September 2009 – May 2011)

Ellen Hatfield was a Graduate Assistant at the Career & Leadership Development office at UW-Whitewater. In May 2011, she completed her degree at UW-Whitewater by earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling with emphasis in Higher Education. While at Career & Leadership she worked with students in a variety of career preparation topic areas, such as career exploration, resumes, interview preparation, and job/internship search strategies. Ellen also worked on a variety of projects through the Career & Leadership Development office that prepared her to become a Student Affairs professional.

Ellen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with a BA in Organizational Communication and Management. It was at UW-Eau Claire where Ellen first became interested in Student Affairs and working with college students. She worked at the Career Services office for all of her undergraduate career.

Ellen has now started her professional career. She is currently a Career Counselor at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Stephanie Kann (September 2011 – May 2012)

Stephanie was a Career Counseling Intern in Career & Leadership Development during the 2011-2012 academic year. She was completing her Master’s Degree in Counseling with emphasis in Higher Education. At Career & Leadership Development, Stephanie worked with students on a wide variety of topics including career exploration, resumes and interview preparation.

Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Human Development & Families Studies. At UW-Madison, Stephanie held various pre-professional and professional roles in Student Affairs including academic advising, department of athletics and internship coordinator. She has worked in a career services office since 2008.


Heather Schwartz (September 2012 – May 2013)

Heather was a Career Social Media Intern in Career & Leadership Development. During her internship, she managed the UW-Whitewater Career Facebook Page and launched the UW-Whitewater Career YouTube Channel.

Heather graduated in May 2013 with a Public Relations major and an Art Studio/Photography minor.
