”I Wish I Had Known as a Freshman…” Video Contest
Did you feel clueless about career stuff when you were a freshman? Help up and coming Warhawks put themselves on the path to career success while at UW-Whitewater by sharing what you wish you had known as a freshman.

The top three videos will be showcased on the new UW-Whitewater Career YouTube Channel.

Rules and Regulations
The “I Wish I Had Known as a Freshman…” Video Contest is sponsored by Career & Leadership Development. The video must answer the question “What I wish I had known as a freshman.”

The video contest is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled at UW-Whitewater. Videos must be at least 30 seconds in length but no longer than 3 minutes. Videos will be judged on creativity of the idea and how it is portrayed in the video.

Videos will be pre-judged by Career and Leadership Development Staff. A top group of videos, based on pre-judging, will be released to the UW-Whitewater Career Facebook Page on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, and students will vote on their favorite video by “liking” it. You must “like” UW-Whitewater Career Facebook Page to participate in voting. (www.facebook.com/UWWCareer).

Winners will be announced Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The three videos with the most likes will be declared the winners, the top vote earner being declared the grand prize winner and the other two declared runners up.

Video submissions will be accepted from March 26 through April 13, 2012. Videos must be submitted to mediacld@uww.edu along with a signed release form. An electronic copy of the signed release may be submitted via email along with the video. Alternatively, a hard copy of the signed released may be dropped of at the Career & Leadership Development front desk in the University Center (Room 146) to the attention of Emily Gullickson. Only videos with a signed release form will be eligible for participation.
