Microsoft has a company wide commitment to achieve carbon neutrality. The company met its goal of reducing carbon emissions by at least 30% per unit of revenue below the company’s 2007 baseline.

Apple currently has a goal of achieving a net zero energy program for their data centers, corporate facilities, and retail stores worldwide. This means that Apple wants to create as much energy as it uses for all of those facilities. They also have a preference in grid-purchased renewable energy which is contracted directly with renewable generation sources.
