Spirits to Enforce and Aladdin

Construction on “Spirits to Enforce” continues.  The rusted sheathing and I-Beam ribs are up.  The students on the ladders are working on the conning tower.  Scenic design by student Keenan Minogue.  Tech Director, Steve Chene.

Progress on the set of “Spirits to Enforce.”  Set design by student Keenan Minogue.  Steve Chene, tech director.  The white screen is not part of the set, but since Steve uses it for his World of the Arts and Theatre Appreciation classes, it needs to come and go.

Some shop photos as  “Spirits to Enforce” progresses (tech begins Thursday next week).  Scenic design and all scenic painting thus far by student Keenan Minogue.  Steve Chene, technical director.  Much of the labor for UW-Whitewater productions is drawn from shop hours required for the Introduction to Theatre course.

Lov’es Labour’s Lost

Continued progress on Love’s Labour’s Lost.   The stream, which has become a still pool, has been added, and we’re approaching a good placement of botanical prints — I’m sure there will be tweaking.  The next step will be to select painted garden images from the 1880’s — most likely Impressionist work — for the upstage panels.

Getting ready for the first production meeting for November’s Love’s Labour’s Lost.  A sketched revision of the earlier Sketchup draft, with water feature and panels instead of fabric.   And yes, we’re going with the spelling of the title as used by the Arden edition of the play.
