Systems Analysts are in good demand. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the growth of job opportunities systems analysts will be much better than average. Here at the MCS program we train you to be a good systems analyst. But are you really cut out to be one? Suzanne Thornberry of Tech Republic identifies 10 signs that you aren’t cut out to be a systems analyst. Here you go!

  1. You expect the business to conform to IT
  2. You don’t like working with upper management
  3. You can’t say “No”
  4. You can’t say “Yes”
  5. You hate BAND-AIDS and duct tape
  6. You’re just into the big picture
  7. You rely on intuition to make decisions
  8. You don’t listen
  9. You think compromising means losing
  10. You want to work 9 to 5 — only

  • Use a Content Delivery Network
  • Add an Expires Header
  • Gzip Components
  • Put Stylesheets at the Top

  • Reduce DNS Lookups

MCS ranked #1 IT program in the nation!

Our MCS program at UW-Whitewater has again been chosen as the top ranked four year, undergraduate computer degree program in North America for 2007 by the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).

This is the eighth time MCS has received this prestigious award (1984, 1986, 1991, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2007). No other school has won this award this many times!
