Homecoming plans are well underway! This year, Homecoming will be the weekend of Halloween on Saturday, October 30th. This will make for a most entertaining Homecoming experience for students and returning alumni. In case you haven’t gotten the opportunity to return to campus for Homecoming, there are a lot of activities for you to participate in. Get together with your friends and bring your families to any of the alumni activities we have going on throughout the day! The following are a few Homecoming activities that we hope to see you at.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Bring your friends and family to the Alumni Hospitality Tent anytime after 9 a.m. for complimentary hot coffee, cocoa, cider, fruit and breakfast pastries as you watch the students showcase their organizations while marching down Main Street!
Immediately after the parade, join us down at the Coulthart Family Pavilion down by Perkins Stadium for live entertainment, food, and beverages at the Pregame Warhawk Sizzle before the football game. The cost for this has yet to be determined, but is usually around $6.
(I will be handing out free tickets to the Sizzle at the Alumni Hospitality Tent, so if you get there early you can eat and drink at the Pavilion for free!)
UW-Whitewater Warhawks will be playing the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled to be at 1 p.m. Dress warm and make sure you wear your purple!!
If you have any questions about Homecoming activities, or even suggestions on how we can make your Homecoming experience better, please feel free to contact me at 262.472.1392 or email me at bastienk@uww.edu.
