At my local Walmart, I was hired for a full-time position amid the Covid-19 pandemic and have been working there while finishing up my last semester of my Bachelor’s degree online. I have already learned so much about how a retail store like Walmart runs compared to other jobs I have had.
Teamwork is a huge aspect of everyone’s daily shifts, and it’s been a huge growing experience for me. Trusting teammates is sometimes hard, but seeing how each team in the store completes the other has been eye-opening. I am excited to continue working as a Walmart associate when I move to South Carolina and transfer to the local Walmart location in the new city I will be living in.
